Honey Bears Who Love To Eat Insects

Honey  bear is the smallest species of the eight bear species in the world. Weight ranging from 30 to 65 kilograms, but data from the wild is very limited. Honey bears in Borneo Island is the smallest and probably can be classified as sub-types (sub-species) with the name H.malayanus eurispylus. Honey Bear is a black fur all over his body, except his face gray and upper chest though there are white spots sometimes seen vague, brown eyes, long tongue and can be extended in accordance with the natural conditions for extracting honey from bee hives in the trees , have long nails on all four arms are used to facilitate the search for food and climb trees, honey bears are nocturnal or also called nocturnal creatures, they spend time on the ground and climbing trees to find food, they unload dead wood to find insects . Honey Bear has a very keen sense of smell so it can smell the former stamping on a human or other animal, except for females with children, Honey bears are generally solitary.

Tropical rainforests are the main  Honey  bear habitat. Wood forest is highly valued by humans, and are being rapidly converted to secondary forests, plantations, farms, ranches and settlements. Malaysia and Indonesia is the largest exporter of tropical hardwoods in the world and most of these exports come from the  Honey  bear habitat, so habitat is reduced. Although the specific impact on the distribution, density and population size and food availability is not known with certainty, but it can be ascertained that the negative impact. Human activities described above replaces the original lowland forest with a stretch of land that can’t be used  Honey  bears. Required bear habitat disappears including plants, insects and other foods that need a bear. Therefore, the original food is gone,  Honey  bears sometimes eat crops, especially coconut, so that the plant is dead. The bears are hunted and often killed.

Female bears only have 4 nipples compared to other bear species are normally spawned several children and have six nipples. Apparently the bears have no specific breeding season, probably because the fruit season and food availability in nature is very varied. It is possible that the  Honey  bears, similar to other bear species, has a natural system for "delaying" development of the egg (delayed implantation) so as to ensure that the child will be born at the time the parent is quite plump, good weather and the availability of sufficient food.Honey bears give birth in hollow logs or small caves where bears are protected so that the child is big enough to follow their mother in their daily activities. Information from
Zoo shows that the breeding of bears that are kept very difficult and at this time precisely because it avoided in the wild population has been threatened with loss of habitat so that conservation efforts are more necessary is the preservation of habitat rather than the addition of a population are maintained.
