Chameleon, A Special Ability To Change Color


Chameleon is a kind of reptile belonging to the tribe (familia) Agamidae. Chameleon includes several genera, such as Bronchocela, Calotes, Gonocephalus, Pseudocalotes and others. Chameleon can change its skin color change, although not as good as discoloration chamaeleon (tribe Chamaeleonidae). Usually change from bright colors (green, yellow, or light gray) becomes a darker color, brownish or blackish.


Chameleons are arboreal creatures, which means they live in trees. It is because of this that they are usually dark green so they could well camouflaged with their surroundings. Chameleons need water and sunlight for survival. They rarely come down from the tree except to spawn and search for prey
Chameleons are known for having the ability to change the color of his skin. The ability to change color or natural camouflage in Chameleons make this animal is able to face and adapt to multiple conditions. But actually, the main function of this color change is, to warn himself of the existence of the dangers that lurk.

Most of the chameleon and several species of anole and gecko lizard able to change the color of their skin at some point. It is estimated there are more than 160 species of Chameleons in the world.
However, not all Chameleons are able to transform into brilliant coraknya. Many species of chameleon, such as the Namaqua and Brygoo can only be changed from brown or gray to green and back again.

Chameleons have laterally flattened bodies based. The main physical features of the chameleon is like having a decorative addition to the natural and vivid colors, has a peak, spines and horns and eyes that stand out. Their eyes have a unique quality, that they can rotate independently. In the sense that while one eye looking forward, the others could see towards other simultaneously
It helps them to remain vigilant in their surroundings and aware of the danger. Their ability is known as the best of their abilities, and often called the 'binoculars' nature.
